Atomic energy cooperation - new key in VN-Russia ties
Cooperation in building Việt Nam’s first nuclear power plant will be a new milestone in the long-lasting strategic relations between Việt Nam and Russia. Receiving General Director of the Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation (Rosatom), Mr. Sergei V. Kirienko, on September 3 in Hà Nội, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng confirmed that atomic energy cooperation between Việt Nam and Russia shows mutual trust and strategic partnership of the two sides.

The Review Meeting of the Ordinance on Radiation Safety and Control was held in Ha Noi
Under direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Leader, the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Control (VARANSAC) held the Review Meeting of the Ordinance on Radiation Safety and Control on March 26th, 2008 in Hanoi. Attending the meeting were the MOST Vice Minister, Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, who opened the Meeting, and more than two hundreds representatives from various Ministries, provincial Departments of Science and Technology (DOSTs), radiation users, radioactive source dealer, and several centers providing training service on radiation safety.
