The Loc An estuary of Loc An village, Dat Do district is an important estuary of Ba Ria Vung Tau province. Until the beginning of 2003, the erosion created 2 new estuaries and put all the local economic and social activities under heavy threat. In 2004, the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria Vung Tau province studied and promoted a solution which is called Stabiplage, a “soft technological solution” of France to against the erosion of coast in Loc An based on a scientific project. The project using Stabiplage technology was carried out and finished in July of 2005. Nowday, after 4 years, the project not only against the erosion well but also restore the coast and re-create dunes with the average height of 3m-5m, the local ecosystem has been strongly expanding. These constructions have a lot of effectively results on economical, scientific, social and environmental demands.
According to Trade Promotion Centre (Trade and Commerce Department), till now, 5 enterprises have registed to bring goods to rural. They are: Baria- Vungtau Seafood Import- Export JS company (Baseafood), Baria Co.op Mart Supermarket, Tam Linh Private Company, Ha Noi Beer Company (Vungtau branch) and Cau Vong (Rainbow) Company Ltd.,

On the day of 13th, April 2009, the Department of Science and Technology Baria-Vungtau Province have issued a Certificate of Science and Technology Enterprise to Busadco. This is the first enterprise in the provincial area which is granted the certificate of science and technology.
Over the past ten years, technological scientific subjects and projects in the province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau have been step by step effective to serve production activities. Many of those have brought about high socio-economic efficiency.
