In the morning June 9th, 2010, Department of Science & Technology organized a project inspection board belonging to Information Technology field “Building commercial information Website of Baria- Vungtau E-Servicesman Joint Stock Company”. This project is managed by War Veteran JSC and it belongs to the programme “supporting provincial enterprises in 2009”.
On 12th May, Department of Science & Technology organized a conference to accept draft of two projects under enterprise support program in renewing equipment and technology in 2010.
On May 12th, 2010, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Department of Science & Technology organized a conference to approve the draft of two projects named “supporting enterprises to innovate equipment & technology in 2010”.
On March 12, Department of Science and Technology checks and takes over the project attached to 2009 scientific and technology program supporting enterprises, namely “Investment of software system used for designing coastal engineering”. It is implemented by DK Engineering Joint Stock Company.
On 19 January, engineer Vu Viet Chien, Director of HT Industry Joint Stock Company (Dong Xuyen Industrial Zone) received the 3rd prize of the 10th Vietnam Scientific & Technological Creative Prize (VIFOTEC 10) with the topic "Fabrication of Oil Platforms and TCM – Total Construction Management”. This is the only one of Ba Ria - Vung Tau was awarded this time.
According to information from Department for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control of Baria-Vungtau Province, in the stage 1 in 2009, 14 enterprises have filed for supporting expenditure of registration to build a quality management system of ISO, HACCP.
There have been 6 enterprises which are reviewed and provided expense including: T.D.C Ltd Company (ISO 22000), Vungtau Oil Services Company (HACCP), Song Hong Ltd Company (ISO 9001:2008), Nhat Nam Ltd Company (ISO 9001:2000), the Branch of Nhat Nam Mechanical Factory (ISO 14001:2004), South-Eastern Asia Paint Ltd Company (ISO 14001:2004).
On the day of April 09th, 2009, Center of Informatics and Scientific and Technological Information belongs to the Science and Technology Department has organized a training course for cadres of the provincial War Veteran Association. Attending the training course includes district and city war veterans who are participating in business operation such as Baria-Vungtau War Veteran Joint Stock Company, Hai Phuong Restaurant Joint Stock Company, Minh Thang Joint Stock Company, Thai Binh Duong Petroleum Joint Stock Company…
In December 18, 2007, the DoST checked-up the plan called “Develop a program of financial management and company Website”, in the plan for assisting companies to develop S&T in 2007 of BR-VT at Petroleum and Commerce Joint-Stock Company and Bien Dong Commerce Company.
