On 20th May, Department of Science & Technology organized a conference to accept “Expanding lighting model to support for people under Moc Xuyen District and Dat Do in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province”, headed by PhD Nguyen Xuan Anh acting as project chairman and implemented by advanced science and Technology Centre.
On May 20th, 2010, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Department of Science & Technology organized scientific Board to accept project “Enlarging lightning-resistant model in Xuyen Moc and Dat Do districts”, headed by Dr. Nguyen Xuan Anh and implemented by Science & Technology Advance Application Center.
In the past time, the vortex-pools in Vungtau beaches always endanger tourists, making big impacts on the tourist environment. To tackle vortex-pools, the Science and Technology Department was tasked to implement the project "Researching on the causes and mechanism of vortexes formation in Bai Sau (Back Beach) and proposing solutions to handle vortex-pools”. Currently, the subject was accepted by the provincial Science Council and is being submitted to the provincial People"s Committee in order to implement the pilot.
Mr. Vu Dinh Chuan who resides in Nam Hai Village – Tan Hai Commune, Tan Thanh District, is selected to experiment with the model. Indeed, previously, Mr. Chuan had kept seabass in the area used previously for keeping shrimp but failed. However as well as the shrimp before, the seabass breeding by him also failed, leading to some surface area of his is unused and waste.
On the date of March 3rd, 2009, the Provincial Science Council has organized a conference to examine and receive the project: “Constructing an application model of technical progress in order to promote the potential and improve the agricultural production efficiency in a half-mountain half-plain area at Suoi Rao Commune, Chau Duc District”. The Project has been presided over by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department; South-East Fruit Research Centre (SEFRC) is the technology transfer organization.
On the 20th of June, The Chairwoman of the Science Council – Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department – carried out to check and take over the project: “Multiplying models of green productivity at populated community in Toc Tien Commune, Tan Thanh District”. The Head of the project is BSc Nguyen Van Hung – Center for Application of Advanced Scientific and Technology.
The project “Scalling up the model of applying S&T electronic information to serve Baria-Vungtau socio-economic development” was finished after successful 15-month deployment in 5 communes. The project was handed over to the Center of Informatics and S&T Information of Ba ria-Vung tau to implement and lead by Eng. Nguyen Kim Truong.
On August 17, an inspection delegation held by the DoST checked the progress of a project, namely "Scaling up the model of electronic information serving for BR-VT socio-economic development " . The project has been chaired by Eng. Nguyen Kim Truong, the Director of Center of Informatics and S&T Information and carried out during 15 months (from December 2006 to February 2008).
